I joined the Groton Ag Partners team in June of 2023. Prior to that, I served as the Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Roberts County until my retirement in May 2023. I began my career at the FSA as a Program Technician in 1984. After completing the County Office Training Program in 2009, I became the Executive Director in 2010. Through my years at FSA, I gained extensive knowledge of various programs, including ARC/PLC, disaster programs, dairy programs, grain loans, FSFL loans, payment eligibility, and many ad hoc programs that have been implemented in recent years. I truly enjoyed my time with the FSA.
As a member of the Groton Ag Partners team, I believe my agricultural experience will be invaluable in assisting our customers. My responsibilities will include providing crop insurance information and staying updated on the FSA Farm Bill and related programs as they are released. I look forward to working in the crop insurance industry and collaborating with producers. I will be based out of my home office in New Effington, SD.
My husband, Brad, and I have four grown children: Amber, Amanda, Justin, and Jordan. Amber works in HR, and Amanda is a nurse. They both reside with their families in Sioux Falls, SD. Justin is an engineer based in Colorado, and Jordan works alongside Brad on our farm in northeastern South Dakota. We live on the farm, where we raise corn and soybeans. We stay busy on the farm and are actively involved in our local church and community.
